Last rites for Albert Scott, 84, were held at the United Methodist church, West Liberty, May 16 with the Rev. Joe Martin Lee officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery with military and Masonic rites.
Mr. Scott died at the Simpson Memorial Home, West Liberty, May 12.
The son of James and Lydia Smith Scott, he was born in Muscatine county Oct. 27, 1894. He married Lillian Beyer in St. Louis, Mo. June 25, 1923.
A mechanic, he worked at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1960. He was a member of the United Methodist church, a 67 year member of Mt. Calvary Masonic lodge, West Liberty and a 70 year member of the American Legion, having served in World War I with the army.
He was a charter member of the West Liberty Golf club and a member of the Iowa Golf association.
He is survived by his wife, several nieces and nephews.
