(Muscatine) After a lingering illness covering a period of several years, Isaac Walton, an aged and well known resident of Muscatine, passed away Monday evening at nine o'clock. Mr. Walton was the father of Mrs. Frank Kiefner, formerly of this city. The deceased had been an invalid for the last three years, but his condition was not thought to be serious until three weeks ago. Senility was the cause of death. Mr. Walton was born in Rahway, N. J., March 5, 1842 and was married July 2, 1863 to Miss Susan Swain, who survives him. The couple came to Muscatine in 1879 and have made their home her since. On July 2, 1913, their golden wedding anniversary was observed. Besides the widow, Mt. Walton is survived by two sons, Fred Walton of Des Moines and William D. Walton of Muscatine. and the following daughters: Jennie, wife of W. R. Donald, of Davenport; Alice, wife of Dr. A.E. Myrick, of Stanford, Mont.; Julia, wife of Frank Kiefner, of Muscatine and Miss Mae Walton at home. The funeral which was private was held from the late residence Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and burial was made at Greenwood cemetery.
