W. H. Neal, a well known Muscatine county resident, living two and one half miles north of Letts, passed away Monday afternoon at about 4 o'clock at his home. His death was due to heart trouble and came after an illness of several weeks duration. Mr. Neal was born in Maine October 22, 1836. As a young man he moved to Ohio, where he remained four years. In 1864 he came to Muscatine county and located there. The year following he was united in marriage to Miss Ellen Price, who receded him in death five years ago. Mr. Neal is survived by one daughter, Miss Carrie Neal, who resides at home. The funeral was held from the Letts Methodist Episcopal church yesterday (Wednesday) morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. T. F. Barker, pastor of the church, conducted the services.
