B. E. Lilly, another prominent resident and merchant of Muscatine, died Monday afternoon. He was born in Muscatine Sept. 23, 1842, and spent his entire life in that city with the exception of four years and three months, when he served his county as a member of Co. G. 2nd Iowa cavalry. He had been engaged in the mercantile business since 1881.
