Funeral services for Lisa Marie Keeling, 8 and Steven Allen Keeling, 5, Wilton, were held Feb. 4, 1989 at Lacock Funeral Home in Durant, with the Rev. Paul Pennington officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Jim, Charles, and Jackie Vandervort, Sterling Wright, Robert Mix, David Krutcher and Paul Young. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

The 2 children died of injuries received in a fire at their home in Wilton Jan. 31, which also resulted in serious injuries to their mother.

Lisa Keeling died at University hospitals in Iowa City. The daughter of Phillip and Paul Vandervort Keeling, she was born Nov. 19, 1981 in Decatur, Ill. She was a first grader in the Wilton community schools.

Steven Keeling died at Muscatine General hospital. The son of Phillip and Paula Vandervort Keeling, he was born July 10, 1983 in Decatur, Ill.

The children are survived by their father, Phillip Keeling, Baylis, Ill.; their stepfather and mother, Victor and Paul Goodrich, Wilton; their maternal grandmother, Nora Vandervort, Clinton; their paternal grandmother, Lois DeJaynes, Baylis, Ill.; a paternal grandfather, Donald Keeling, Milford, Ill.; their great-grandmother, Martha Reed, Lane, Ill. and their stepgrandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Goodrich, Stockton.
