Funeral services for Harold Covell, 86, were held at Wilton Oct. 12 with the Rev. Paul Pennington officiating. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery. Pallbearers were David and Douglas Nolte, Wayne and Cory Adamson, Robert Guy and Alan Whitmore. Memorials may be made to the Sweetland United Methodist church of which he was a member for more than 50 years.

Mr. Covell died at the Simpson Memorial home, West Liberty, Oct. 9.

The son of Charles and Luella Clark Covell, he was born in Muscatine county Feb. 7, 1900. He was married to Ruth Gauthier in Muscatine Dec. 14, 1920. She died July 21, 1984.

He farmed all of his adult life, retiring in 1952. He was a member of the Masonic lodge at Wilton.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Ethelyn) Morrison, West Liberty and Mrs. Robert (Doris) Guy and Mrs. John (Donna) Nolte, both of Wilton; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and a sister.
