Funeral services for Arthur Reiland, 78, West Liberty, were held June 13 at Sinder Funeral Home in West Liberty, with the Rev. Ralph Farmer officiating. Pallbearers were Ivan Walker, Orville Walker, Thomas Dawson, Steven Dawson, William Dawson and James Gingerich. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery.
Mr. Reiland died suddenly June 10, after he was admitted to University Hospitals in Iowa City.
The son of George A. and Rose Alley Reiland, he was born May 9, 1907 in Lone Tree. He married Dorothy Davis June 20, 1940 in Kahoka, Mo. He farmed in the Atalissa and Lone Tree areas most of his life and retired in 1965.
He is survived by his wife; 3 grandchildren;2 brothers, George of West Liberty and August of Carlsbad, Calif.; a half-brother, Edward Walker, Madisonville, Ky.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Gladys Christofferson, Nichols and Mrs. Ned (Rose) Gingerich, Keota and a half-sister, Edith Bell, Anamosa. He was preceded in death by a son and 2 brothers.
