Funeral services for Walter C. Irwin, 75, Wilton, were held July 5 at the Wilton Presbyterian church, with the Rev. Leland Eyres officiating. Burial was in the Harker cemetery.
Mr. Irwin died July 1 at the Beverly Manor Nursing home in Iowa City.
The son of Charles and Grace Andries Irwin, he was born Aug. 24, 1909 in Muscatine county. He married Pearl Ehlert Feb. 6, 1938 in Blue Grass.
He was a member of the Wilton Presbyterian church. He had been a farmer and had been employed by the Muscatine community schools and the Muscatine County Soil Conservation Service.
Mr. Irwin is survived by his wife, 3 sons, Donald Irwin, Davenport, Marvin Irwin, Atalissa and Arnold Irwin, Eldridge, 2 brothers, Fred Irwin and Carl Irwin, both of Muscatine; one sister, Mrs. Elmer (Dorothy) Tisor, Muscatine and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
