AFFIDAVIT: Filed in Clerk's Office Mitchell County, Iowa Dec. 17, 1940.

State of Iowa, Black Hawck County, ss.

I, Clara M. Brown, being first duly sworn on oath do depose and say that I am a resident of the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa; that I personally knew John Van Wie, late of Mitchell County, Iowa, now deceased, during his lifetime; that I personally know Lillie Ruhberg, a daughter of the said John Van Wie; that I personally know all of the children of the said Lillie Ruhberg; that I personally knew the said Lillie Ruhberg and all of her children prior to the death of the said John Van Wie; that at the time of the death of the said John Van Wie the said Lillie Ruhberg had four (4) daughters, whose names were: Mildred R. Ruhberg, Gladys C. Ruhberg, Katherine L. Ruhberg and Dorothy P. Ruhberg; that said daughters were the only children the said Lillie Ruhberg ever had; that said daughters are still living; that the said Mildred R. Ruhberg is now married and her name is Mildred R. Conkey; that she is a resident of Seattle, Washington; that the said Gladys C. Ruhberg is now married and her name is Gladys Fletcher; that she is a resident of Hampton,
Virginia;
that the said Katherine L. Ruhberg is single; that she is a resident of Waterloo, Iowa; that the said Dorothy P. Ruhberg is now married and her name is Dorothy P. Esslinger; that she is a resident of Porterville, California; that the said Lillie Ruhberg now resides at Porterville, California.
