Bradford D. Daugharthy, 55, went home to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Kavanagh House Hospice in Des Moines. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel.

Bradford David Daugharthy was born on April 5, 1955 in Ottawa, KS to Lester and Goldie (Enyart) Daugharthy. He moved to Des Moines in 1980 and was the owner of Hawkeye Towing. He enjoyed owning, repairing and racing cars. He loved spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his outgoing, compassionate humor.

Those left to cherish Brad’s memory include his wife of 28 years, Madeline (Barroso) Daugharthy of Des Moines; son, Matthew Daugharthy of Des Moines; two daughters, Kristina Daugharthy (Levi Force) and Tiffany Daugharthy of Des Moines; granddaughter, Ava Rae Ann Force; brother, Richard (Marcella) Daugharthy of Ottawa, KS and many other extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

He will be truly missed.
