Lela May Johnston, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Johnston, was born January 28th, 1912, died Oct. 2, 1914, aged two years, eight months and five days. Little Lela was a bright and winsome darling. She had a cheerful greeting and bright smile for all. Her sparkling, dark eyes, her joyous laughter and sweet prattle will be greatly missed not only in the home which will be desolate without her sunny presence, but the entire community mourns with the parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts, the death of this sweet little child. Funeral services were held from the home Sunday morning at 10 o'clock conducted b Rev. Fry of Mt. Pleasant, and the little form was tenderly laid to rest in the Wapello cemetery.
