Page 3E. R. Carrick, owner of the Brighton bus line, died at 9:15 a. m. Monday, following injuries received in a railroad accident last Thursday evening. Everything possible was done to relieve the suffering and on Friday morning Mr. Carrick was taken to the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield, where the amputation being between the ankle and knee was made. The body was brought to Brighton Monday evening and a short funeral service was held from the home Tuesday noon, in charge of Rev. J.W. B. Jefferson, after which the body was taken to Mr. Carrick' former home in Morning Sun, where the funeral in charge of Rev, Jefferson, was conducted Wednesday afternoon, the interment being made in the Morning Sun cemetery.
