Looks like he is still out for that family... just coincidental another Crane family lived near by?

Another researcher looked elsewhere and thinks he is still in NY for the 1850 census and this is the only David Crane that fits age and birth place:

1850 Putmnam Co. New York Patterson twp. page 22
Elijah Crane 57 blacksmith $3080. b. N.Y.
Betsey (wife) 47 b. N.Y. IT ACTUALLY SAYS "WIFE" AFTER THE FEMALES NAME
Elizabeth 22 b. N.Y. IT SAYS DAUGHTER AFTER ELIZABETH
David 16 b. N.Y.
************************************************************************
George 12 b. N.Y.
James 10 b. N.Y.
Kenison 8 b. N.Y.
Egbert 6 b. N.Y.
Ralphus 3 b. N.Y.

Running out of options.

Yet another researcher shows him as David Daniel Crane, born 1836, died Sept 1898 in Nebraska, married Martha Porter who died 1879 Iowa and then Helen E. Cheney who died 1896. Of course those death dates don't fit the post 1900 Helen I found linked to the Hall family unless this info in incorrect or the wrong family lines have been followed in the past? The eldest child listed is an Alice Lucinda Crane, died 1936 Harrison Co., IA.. married Charles Augustus Fox 9/1/1881 in Boone Co., IA. Maybe the whole family moved to Boone County?
