Martha Porter the wife of David D. Crane was a very close cousin to Admiral David Dixon Porter, her parents were Jonithan Porter and Jane Seeright. Martha died very young (about 36) after giving birth to twins. Those twins died on the same day one year later. Wonder what happened to them? David Crane remarried Helen Cheney and eventually moved to Neligh, NE. That is where he is buried. I thought of finding out if we could get his death certificate and that might tell us who his parents were. So you say that Martha's parents lived close by in 1860 when she married David? Thanks for all your thoughtfulness, Eric.
