OLIN - Malcolm Keith Vernon, 56, Arlington, Tex., died at an Arlington hospital Thursday, Aug. 26. Funeral services were held there at the First Presbyterian church Saturday afternoon, Aug. 28. Interment was in Arlington.

He was born Dec. 25, 1914, son of George and Eva Stingley Vernon at Olin. He graduated from Olin Consolidated school with the class of 1932. He was employed by Delta Airlines as a pilot and later as captain, for nearly 25 years. A heart attack, about three years ago, forced him to retire.

Survivors include his wife, Winnie, Arlington, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Pam) McMullin, Minot, N.Dak., a son, Mark, who attends college; two brothers, Wayne, of Barrow, Alaska, and Virgil, Olin; two sisters, Mrs. Don (Marguerite) Smith, Stanwood; Mrs. Tab (Helen) Jansen, Grants Pass, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Calvin, who died in infancy.
