Funeral services for Ivan Lorraine Brannon will be held Friday, June 18, 1971, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's church. Concelebrants at the requiem mass will be the Rev. Ray Brannon and the Rev. Bernard Brannon, San Jose, Calif., and the Rev. Alfred Brosius, Anamosa. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monticello.
Mrs. Brannon died Tuesday, June 15 at Anamosa Community hospital after a lingering illness. Rosary will be recited Thursday at 8 p.m. at McNamara funeral home.
She was born March 16, 1907 in Waterville, Iowa, the daughter of Bernard and Geena Aslyeson Roese. She received a B.A. degree from the University of Northern Iowa, and taught in Allamakee county schools.
She was married to J. C. Brannon, Waucoma, August 12, 1935, at Cherry Mound. She was a member of the Mother's Study club and the Altar and Rosary society.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. E. J. (Marjorie) Dosedel, Lakenheath, England; a son, Robert Brannon, Anamosa; three sisters, Mrs. H. (Gladys) Evans, Marion; Mrs. L. (Merle) Mitchell, Monona, Mrs. J. (Irma) Koontz, Great Falls, Mont.; a brother, Clifton Roese, Conesville; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Cecil Brannon, May 27, 1970, and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Edward Houser, Ben Hinrichsen, Dr. G. H. Schupanitz, John Peterson, Walt Neppl and Glen McLaughlin.
