SCOTCH GROVE - Funeral services were held Monday, June 7, for William Bert Clark, 89, a longtime resident of Scotch Grove until his retirement to Monticello. Services were held in the Monticello Presbyterian church, with the Rev. Willis Longer officiating. Interment was in Oakwood cemetery. Mr. Clark died Friday, June 4.

He was born in Scotch Grove, March 9, 1882, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clark. He attended schools in Scotch Grove and Monticello, Coe Academy and the Cedar Rapids business college.

He married Ella Loomis September 10, 1919 and they farmed in Scotch Grove township until their retirement.

Clark was a member of the Presbyterian church, charter member of the Jones County Farm Bureau, an officer of the Scotch Gove cemetery association and the Lions club.

Casketbearers were Ralph Paulsen, Philip Himebaugh, Edwin Helgens, Robert Norris, William Corbit and Robert Zirkelbach.
