May 20, 1971 - The Anamosa Eureka

OLIN - Mrs. Frances Ann Timmerman, 71, died Wednesday evening, May 13, at the Anamosa Community hospital.

Funeral services were held at Elliott-Lunning chapel in Burlington Saturday, May 15, at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. John Ziegler conducted the service. Katherine Collins was organist. Interment was in Aspen Grove cemetery, Burlington.

Frances Ann Roxlau was born March 9, 1900, daughter of John and Elizabeth Carhoff Roxlau, Burlington. She was married to Bert Timmerman August 8, 1937, at Kahoka, Mo. They lived in Burlington with the exception of the last three years, when they made their home in Olin.

She was a member of Oak St. Baptist church, Royal Neighbors, Eagles auxiliary, American Legion auxiliary, and Phythian Sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Bert; two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Ruth) Newcomb, Olin; Mrs. Helen McCartney, Burlington; a son, Robert A. Timmerman, Corpus Christi, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Marion Watson, Burlington, Mrs. Jack Biggs, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Kathryn Allen, Kirkwood, Ill.; a brother, Arthur Roxlau, Omaha, Nebr.; eighteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and a daughter, and two brothers.
