WYOMING - Jane M. Inglis, 85, died Friday, May 7, 1971, at the senior home in Monticello. Funeral services for Miss Inglis were held at the First Presbyterian church in Wyoming Monday, May 10 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Lyle Meester, officiating. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery.
Jane Inglis was born near Hale, Iowa, May 1, 1886, the daughter of John and Ida Myers Inglis. Her early childhood was spent near Hale, where she received her elementary education. She graduated from Wyoming high school and from Coe college. She also attended the University of Colorado. Her entire life was spent in the teaching profession, beginning in South Dakota and northern Iowa, she then taught in the Wyoming high school until her retirement in 1951. In August 1970 she moved to the Senior home in Monticello from her home in Wyoming. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, and of the Hawthorne club.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Oscar (Margaret) Kinler, Olin; and Mrs. George (Miriam) Clark, Portland, Ore.
She was preceeded in death by her parents and one brother.
