H. J. HUDDLESTON OBSERVES BIRTHDAY

H. J. HUDDLESTON was the recipient of many beautiful flowers and cards, and a lovely birthday cake on Monday, his eightieth birthday. Many of his friends called during the day. He remains in a serious condition at his home at 303 West Adams st. His daughters, Mrs. Ira MESSER of Wapello, and Mrs. BEABER of Mt. Pleasant, came recently to assist in his care. ...

H. HUDDLESTON DIES IN CITY
Funeral Services Will Be Held Tomorrow At Christian Church

H. J. HUDDLESTON, who was 80 years old March 16, died last night at his home 303 W. Adams st. here after an illness of five weeks duration. He was stricken in Chariton. He was a well known resident of Fairfield, and had lived here for about 30 years.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at the Christian church, in charge of Rev. S. P. Williamson, and Dr. Gilbert Voorhies. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body was taken to the Behner-Dudgeon funeral home here, and will be taken to the home this afternoon.

He is survived by his wife and the following children, Mrs. A. E. BEAVER (sic - BEABER) of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Ira MESSER of Wapello, Roy HUDDLESTON of Princeton, Ill., and Mrs. Frank BRUGGEMEYER of Fairfield, at whose home he died.

One son Bryan preceded him in death nine years ago. He also leaves one sister Mrs. C. C. PARKER of Fremont, Nebr., and a number of grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was a faithful member of the First Christian church here.
