Colfax, Iowa

I have a collection of postcards(6), circa 1910. They were mailed by my grandfather to my father, from Colfax, Iowa, to New Hampton,Iowa. I have no idea why my grandfather would have been in Colfax in February 1910. Perhaps it was for health reasons???? Can anyone speculate why a person, who had no relatives in Colfax, would be there in February 1910. (No reflection on the Chamber of Commerce or Tourist Bureau.)

The postcards are from Colfax High School, Epworth Park, Skunk River, Victoria Park, Mason House (hotel), and Mason House Park.
