Cora Andersen-Gabrielson.

One of the saddest deaths which has ever been our part to chronicle is that of Mrs. Cora Gabrielson, whose death came Monday of this week, April 13, just when she should have been in the prime of young womanhood. Death must come to all but when the grim reaper claims one in early life the blow must seem doubly a hard one to the friends and relatives who are afflicted.

Cora Marie Andersen was born in Denmark December 4, 1883, being but a few months past twenty-four years of age at the time of her death. With her parents she came to this country in 1884, locating in Jewell here has been her home for practically all her life. On November 13, 1898 she was confirmed in the Norwegian Lutheran church by the pastor, Rev. C. J. Eastvold. On the 29th of November, 1907, she was married at Kansas City to Robert Gabrielson, and went with her husband to Nevada, Mo., where the young couple made their home. About a year abo she became a sufferer from tuberculosis and in July of last year she was brought to Jewell to remain at her parents' home. Little improvement however resulted and finally death came from this grim malady.

The funeral services were held at one o'clock today from the parental Chris Andersen home, and at two o'clock from the Norwegian Lutheran church. Rev. Eastvold, her pastor, conducted the services. The husband of the deceased is at the present confine in bed at his home in Nevada, Mo., with Malarial fever and was unable to be at her side at the end or to attend the last sad rites. His father, an old gentleman of over eighty years, made the long trip from Nevada to attend the funeral.

Cora Gabrielson was a girl well known and heartily beloved by hosts of friends in this vicinity where she has spent her life, and her death, although not unexpected, comes as a shock to all. To the husband, parents, brothers, and sisters, the sympathy of a host of friends is extended in their bereavement.
