OBITUARY.
Minnie Anne (Montgomery) Draper was born in Ellsworth township, Hamilton county, Iowa, September 21, 1876. She was the youngest child of Stephen and Anne (Conn) Montgomery, the family consisting of three girls and two sons.
She grew to womanhood in this community and was well beloved and much respected. April 13, 1899 she was united in marriage to Leslie B. Draper in Webster City and went at once to reside near Pilot Mound, Boone county. Three children were born of this union--Alvah, Willie and Glen. Alvah being thee only surviving child.
In the spring of 1903 the family emigrated to Wilton, McLean county, North Dakota, in the hopes of enjoying better health, but repeated attacks of la grippe induced a decline which culminated in tuberculosis and caused her untimely demise.
She came to Hamilton county, April 22 of the present year, hoping the change might recuperate and rebuild her health, but instead grew perceptibly worse and after all that loving hearts and willing hands could do, her spirit took its flight to the realms of the Great Beyond, saying as she departed (having been conscious to the last), "It is all well and I want you all to meet me in Heaven. Good bye."
She is survived by her husband and child and two sisters Mrs. John Glaman and Mrs. Harry Van Buskirk of this county; two brothers--William, of Knox, North Dakota, and Richard, also of this county; besides many other relatives and friends, who feel keenly this bereavement.
The funeral service was opened by a brief service at the home of John Glaman's, where deceased died, and then held in the M. E. church in Jewell; the interment taking place in Evergreen cemetery, all relatives being present except one brother, William, whose health would not permit of his coming.
