ELIAS OLSON

Elias Olson, a native of Asheim in Ytre, Sogn, Norway, was born April 26, 1872, and died in Des Moines May 20, 1941, after a lingering illness. He came to this country with several friends in 1890, locating in Clear Lake township. After a few years as a farm laborer here he went to Des Moines where he was employed as a steel constructor and at which place he continued to live.

He is survived by two brothers, Albert of Stanhope, and Iver Olson of Asheim, Sogn, Norway, and a number of nephews, nieces and cousins in his native land and a few cousins here.

Funeral services were held in Our Savior's Lutheran church in Stanhope Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. O. C. Monson. Special music was furnished by Clifton Madson who sang, "Life's Day is Ended." Pallbearers were I. B. and Bloyd Iverson, John L. Iverson, Lowell Iverson, Iver E. and John E. Iverson. Burial was made in Lake Center cemetery.
