HARRY E. RUDE DIED AT ELLSWORTH

Harry E. Rude, 65, a widely known resident of the Ellsworth community, died at his home Friday morning, death being caused by a heart attack. He had been in failing health for some time.

He was born in Mendota, Ill., Dec. 10, 1875, and was graduated from the high school there. Shortly after his graduation, he moved to Ellsworth, where he farmed for several years. He was married in 1896 to Sadie Blair, who survives him.

He also leaves four children: Harry of Jewell, Howard of Ames, Mrs. Edgar Templer of Webster City, and Walter at home. There are ten grandchildren. A child died in infancy.

Mr. Rude farmed until 35 years ago, when he retired and the family moved to Ellsworth. He was always active in civic affairs, and had served as a member of the town council, as mayor, and as a member of the school board.
