PETER O. OLSON DIED AT BLUE EARTH NOV. 29
Peter O. Olson died on Friday, Nov. 29, death resulting from an appendectomy. Death came as a surprise to his many friends, few of whom had known that he was ill.
Funeral services were held at the Trinity Lutheran church at Blue Earth, of which Mr. Olson had been a member since moving into the community 16 years ago. Rev. Theo. Severson of Wayland, Minn. and Rev. G. O. Paulsrud of Randall assisted Rev. A. Thompson at the services.
Peter Olai Olson was born Jan. 31, 1890 in Story county, moving near Randall at the age of two years and residing there until 1924, when he moved to Blue Earth, Minn.
He was the oldest of four sons of Martha and Amund Olson. On April 29, 1915, he was married to Anna Kristenson [should be Christenson] of Randall. Nine children were born to this union. Mrs. Olson died in March, 1936.
On May 29, 1937, he was married to Mrs. Pearl Olson of Randall. Surviving are his wife and nine children: Mildred Pirsig, Ames, Sherman, Pauline, Ruth, Martha, Dorothy, Johnnie and Beverly; also five step-children, who are also his nieces and nephews, Mrs. Jeanette Rice, Alfred, Marjorie, Lucille and Kenneth; also his mother, Mrs. Martha Olson of Randall; brothers, Leo of Randall and Albert of Bricelyn, Minn. His father and one brother, Mathias, have preceded him in death.
He was a kind husband and father, a loyal neighbor and friend, and will be greatly missed. Blessed be his memory.
