OBITUARIES
MRS. HENRY O. JACOBSON
Mrs. Henry O. Jacobson, daughter of Christian and Olina Boe, was born in Hamilton county, Iowa, Oct. 14, 1876, and died Nov. 8, 1940, at the age of 64.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and has been a life-long member of St. Paul's Lutheran church.
On May 22, 1902, she was united in marriage to Henry O. Jacobson, and to this union eight children were born, two of whom have preceded her in death.
Mrs. Jacobson had been in poor health for some time, and as her suffering increased expert medical aid was sought, but in spite of the best medical care and what loving hands could do, she passed away at the Iowa Lutheran hospital in Des Moines. Mrs. Jacobson was very patient in her suffering and seemed resigned to her fate.
Besides her husband she leaves the following children to mourn her death: Jennie at home; Mrs. Lester Haukoos, Mrs. Albert Meyers and Mrs. Burton Satre, all of Stanhope; Harry and Mrs. Reuben Nibe of Story City; Mrs. Henry Berdahl, Mrs. Ed Berdahl, Mrs. Muns Cleveland and Lewis Boe, all of South Dakota.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 12, with her pastor, Rev. Odean Monson officiating. A service was held at the Jacobson home at 1:30, and 2:00 o'clock at Our Saviour's church in Stanhope. Mrs. Benj. Anderson and Truman Quam sang two songs, "Asleep in Jesus" and "Den Store Hvide Flok." Burial was made at the St. Paul cemetery. $61.75 was given in memorial gifts.
