MRS. JORGEN OLSON DIED AT ELLSWORTH
Mrs. Jorgen Olson, one of the earliest residents of Ellsworth, passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. B. P. Holt, in Ellsworth on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 16, at the age of 73 years and 1 month.
Mrs. Olson had been in poor health for a number of years, and the past four years had spent the winters with her sister, living in her own home in Ellsworth during the summer months. During the past year she lived with her sister, and had needed considerable care at various times, which had been lovingly and freely given her by Mrs. Holt and her other sister, Mrs. Josephine Sanford. She had been helpless the past six months.
Death was due to a stroke of apoplexy suffered on Saturday preceding her death. From that time she was in a coma most of the time.
Mrs. Olson taught school for several years and served as bookkeeper and cashier of the State Bank of Ellsworth for 22 years. On Sept. 22, 1914, she was married to Jorgen Olson at Ellsworth. Mr. Olson passed away Dec. 26, 1935.
