Tuesday, July 24, 1990Gary R. McCollough, 35, Duncombe, formerly of Webster City, was dead on arrival at Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge, on Sunday morning, July 22, following a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 25, at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home, Rev. Charles Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home is after 5 p.m. today.
Gary Ralph McCollough, son of Melvin and Ethel (Staley) McCollough, was born Oct. 30, 1954 in Webster City. He was educated in Webster City, and served with the U.S. Navy. He married Vickie Balsley on Oct. 6, 1984 in Webster City. He had been employed at HERC, by the City of Webster City, at Smithway Trucking, the Trash Man and Webster City Roofing.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie, Duncombe; three stepchildren, Christy Davis, Stacy Garrard and Jodell Garrard; a step-grandson, Austin Davis; and two brothers, Michael McCollough and Larry McCollough, both of Hanford, Calif.
Mr. McCollough was preceded in death by his parents.
