WILLIAM S. HOON DIED FUNERAL YESTERDAY

Services for William S. Hoon of Bouton, a former national champion trapshooter and an Olympic team member, were held yesterday at Woodward. Burial was at Jewell.

Mr. Hoon, 82, died of a heart attack Sunday in a hospital in Des Moines.

He had lived in Dallas county many years, going there from Story City where he had operated a gas station and trap-shooting grounds. Mr. Hoon was founder of the Jewell Record. Retiring from the newspaper business, he farmed for many years.

Survivors are his wife, Ora, a son, Harlowe, of Bouton and a daughter, Mrs. Ava Bailey of Los Angeles, Calif.
