Friday, July 5, 1996Rosa Singer, 90, Webster City, died Wednesday, July 3, 1996 at Crestview Manor Care Center in Webster City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Revs. Roy Miltner and John Grebner officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at Foster Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday, when the casket will be taken to the church.
Rosa Bertha Steinke, the daughter of Gustav and Carrie (Fischer) Steinke, was born May 28, 1906 on a farm in Wright County. She graduated from Webster City High School in 1925. On Dec. 22, 1926, she married A.C. (Tony) Singer at the English Lutheran Church in Webster City. The couple farmed north of Stonega. In 1967, they moved to Webster City. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Singer is survived by: her husband, Tony; daughters and son-in-law, Bonnie Hoversten, Williams, and Carol and Curt Lemon, Webster City; son and daughter-in-law, Noel and Linda Singer, Webster City, 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Ann Caudle, a grandson in infancy, son-in-law Harold Hoversten, five sisters and two half-brothers.
