OBITUARIES
HANS ANDERSON
Hans A. Anderson was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ambjorn Anderson and was born on October 4, 1868 on the farm hone near Randall, Iowa. where he lived all his life and where he died at 12:45 o'clock, Monday morning, January 25, 1937. He had been sick about six months, being bedfast the last six weeks. He was 68 years, 3 months and 21 days of age at the time of his death.
He was married at Webster City, Iowa, on September 20, 1894, to Barbara Pernille Johnson, to which union were born five children. His wife and two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Solbrack and Mrs. Ida Hanson, preceded him in death.
He is survived by three sons, Joseph, Henry and Benjamin, all of Jewell and one sister, Mrs. O. J. Larson of Jewell and 17 grandchildren.
He was a faithful member of the Elim Lutheran church of Randall. In this community, where he had lived all his life, he was regarded as on the the substantial citizens, a man who commanded the esteem and the friendship of all who knew him.
Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon, Jan. 29, at two o'clock at Elim Lutheran church with Rev. Paulsrud officiating. Burial was in Mount Olive cemetery, north of Randall. At the service, songs were sung by a quartette composed of J. H. Brekken, S. M. Teigland, Mrs. P. Gunderson and Mrs. Clarence Larson. Mrs. O. J. Sopeland accompanied them on the organ. Those serving as pall bearers were L. A. Hanson, George Templer, C. J. Tweed, Hans Tweed, Alfred Larson and S. S. Sydness.
