FUNERAL SERVIES HELD FOR EDWARD C. SELGELID

Funeral services were held for Edward C. Selgelid on June 19 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Renwick, Iowa. The Rev. R. W. Hoppenworth, officiated.

Edward C. Selgelid, son of Ole and Carrie Sandvig Selgelid, was born August 13, 1880 at Steward, Ill. He received his education in rural school in Illinois.

He was united in marriage with Mathilda Oakland, February 13, 1908, at Randall. To this union, three sons were born.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister and two brothers.

Mr. Selgelid was engaged in the restaurant business in Renwick until he retired in 1945. He and his wife have lived in the Renwick community for fifty-four years.

Survivors include his wife, Mathilda, three sons, Orin, Rock Island, Ill.; Perley, Belmond, Iowa and Elroy, Renwick, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Oakland, Delavan, Minn. and Mrs. Bertha Evans, Blue Earth, Minn.; three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

His hobby was gardening.

Interment was at the Vernon Cemetery, Renwick, Iowa.
