Wednesday, August 20, 1969ELLSWORTH - Mrs. Leo Davis, 68, of Ellsworth, died at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Ellsworth Memorial hospital in Iowa Falls.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church in Ellsworth, Reverend Donald Carter will officiate and burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery at Jewell. The body will lie in state at the Becker Funeral home in Jewell until 1 p.m. Friday.
Myrtle Hetland was born Sept. 2, 1900 to Severt Hetland and Belle Boyd Hetland at Radcliffe. She resided in the Ellsworth and Radcliffe area all of her life.
She married Leo Davis of Webster City on Aug. 27, 1927.
Mrs. Davis and her husband had farmed in the Ellsworth and Radcliffe area since their marriage. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Ellsworth Methodist church and a member of the WSCS of the Methodist church.
Surviving are her husband and four children, Mrs. Vern (Verla) Klaver of Williams; Mrs. Eusebius (Donna) Wilhelm of Eagle Grove; Mrs. Raymond (Neva) Deymer of Denison; and Larry Davis of Royal, Iowa.
Also surviving are three brothers, Silas Hetland of Williams, Orville Hetland of Ellsworth and Gordon Hetland of Radcliffe; and two sisters, Mrs. Axel Magnuson of Ellswsorth and Mrs. Omer Puff of Chicago, and nine grandchildren.
