Monday, March 14, 1988Leo S. Davis, 84, of rural Ellsworth, died Friday, March 11 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 15 at 1:30 p.m. in the United Methodist church of Ellsworth. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today at Becker Funeral Home in Jewell.
He was born July 21, 1903, the son of Joseph and Angie Christianson Davis. He married Myrtle Hetland on August 27, 1927. The couple farmed in the Radcliffe and Ellsworth areas, retiring in 1972. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1969. He married Lydia [Engelking] Robertson on Sept. 30, 1977. She preceded him in death in 1980.
Survivors are a son, Larry of Stratford; two daughters, Verla Klaver of rural Williams, Neva Beymer of Denison; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Vera Rasmussen of Webster City, Ortha Beecher of Rockville, Md., and Dortha Thomas of Iowa City.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, great-granddaughter, twin grandsons, three brothers and one sister.
