Tuesday, September 3, 1991Kate Seiser, 91, Webster City, died Monday, Sept. 2, at the Crestview Manor Care Center, where she had been a resident for the past five years. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, Rev. Vernon Sorensen officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation at the Foster Funeral Home is after 5 p.m. today until 8:30 a.m. Thursday, when the casket will be taken to the church.
Kate Ubben, daughter of Ben and Carrie (Honken) Ubben, was born Aug. 15, 1900 in Kamrar. She attended rural schools. She married Edmund Seiser on June 8, 1937 in Webster City. The couple farmed east of Webster City. They retired in 1954 and moved into Webster City. Mr. Seiser preceded his wife in death on Dec. 28, 1988.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Messa, Iowa Falls; two sons, Marcus Seiser, Webster City and Milton Dale, Ames; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ricksta Davis, Webster City; Elsie Maples, Stanhope; and Minnie Larson, Goodell; and two brothers, Edward Ubben of Webster City and Melvin Ubben, Williams.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, two grandchildren, five sisters and four brothers.
Mrs. Seiser was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and the church circle and many community clubs.
