Mrs. Lillian Shupe was my favorite teacher in West Burlington Elementary School where she taught my 6th grade class in 1955-56. Her husband, Archie G. Shupe, whom I never met, was a teacher and school superintendent in Danville and Burlington Schools according to info I found. Mrs. Shupe was a widow for some 30 years; her husband died in 1944. Their grave is in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington. One source said they had a son Caryl Evans Shupe, born in 1916 or 1917 and a daughter Mary Shupe born in 1921. I would like to find a good obituary about Mrs. Lillian Shupe or any reminiscences concerning her.
