Does anyone happen to know any history on
Lake LaShaine/LaShane just West of Lamoni,
Iowa?
I was always told that the creek that leaves
LaShane is called Shain Creek (named after
Thomas R. Shain~my husbands' ggg-grandfather,
but then I find that the lake that the creek
starts in is called LaShain...can anyone shed
some light on this? I am wondering if maybe
Thomas' last name was once LaShain...which
would be a good reason why I can't find
information on Thomas' parents.
