I've found plenty of Acton's...still
searching for that little bit of info
that connects mine with all the other's I
find out there!! That Polly was a
daughter of William is a clue, and now
knowing that she was from the clan
KIZZIRE, maybe a new window will open. My
Acton's are George Macy Acton, b.
1856-1858, m. Hannah (Hill). His father,
George Acton, b. 1826 KY, m.
Sarah/Sallie Hamilton. I believe this George
was fathered by a William
Acton b. about 1805, d. May 1881 in Decatur,
which might be tied to the
William Acton, father of this Polly, b. 1790.
"Family Tradition" provides
that the family moved to Iowa from TN and KY,
so imagine, eventually, the
puzzle will come together. Thanks for the "clues" you keep providing.
