Beth Coon, 66, of Adel died of a heart ailment Monday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, with burial at 2:30 p.m. today at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.
Mrs. Coon was born in Spencer and had lived there as a youth. She had lived in Earlham, Minburn and De Soto before moving to Adel four years ago. She was a retired lab technician and enjoyed reading, embroidery and NASCAR racing.
She is survived by a daughter, Laura Lapour of Minburn, four sons, Richard of Adrian, Mich., Jeff of Earlham, Craig of Omaha and Mark of St. Louis; a sister, Mary Jo Carlson of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Gary Carlson of Spencer; and nine grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Amanda the Panda or Ronald McDonald House in Des Moines.
