Leslie D. Ketelsen, 82, of Redfield, died of a stroke Saturday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, with burial at Wiscotta Cemetery near Redfield.
Mr. Ketelsen was born in Long Prairie, Minn., and had lived in Linden before moving to Redfield more than 50 years ago. He had worked at Straight Engineering before retiring. He was a Army veteran of World War II and enjoyed horses and repairing saddles.
He is survived by a son, Larry of Redfield; a daughter, Meri Linn Huff of Norwalk; a brother, Norman of Linden; a sister, Katherine Leavengood of Johnston; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Redfield United Methodist Church.
