Lyllis Maeone Rathke Schultz, 81, passed away June 27, 2012 at Legacy Pointe in Waukee. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 30 at Faith Lutheran Church in Adel with burial of her cremated remains at the Haugen Cemetery near Windom, MN at a later date. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel where family will greet friends 5 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

She was born April 26, 1931 in Jackson, MN to Lester John Rathke and Mamie Justine Skrove. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. Lyllis graduated from High School in Wichita, KS. She married Loran John Schultz in 1948 and made their first home on the Schultz family farm in Pomeroy. They had many different homes in the years that followed and enjoyed many new friends and adventures along the way.

Lyllis is survived by her husband; son, Larry Schultz of Storm Lake; daughter, Lyndall (Roland) Lummis of Colorado Springs; son, Lynn (Chris) Schultz of Johnston; daughter, Lori (Marty) Glanz of Adel; grandchildren, Nikki, Jeff, Emily, Kelly, Averi, and Zach; great grandchildren, Madelynn, Ella, and Siena; and sisters, Marilyn Hammond and Babette Farly of Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, and daughter-in-law, Peg Schultz.
