1935-2012Margaret Corrick, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at home in Adel surrounded by family.
In agreement with Margaret's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services held. A family only private burial will take place at a later date at Sorden Cemetery near Keswick, Iowa.
Margaret was the youngest daughter of Clarence and Nella Keller. She was born April 24th, 1935 at Keswick, Iowa. She attended country school through 8th grade and then graduated Keswick High School in 1953.
Margaret married her high school sweetheart, Richard Corrick, in 1954. To this union were born William Richard and Nancy Margaret.
Following her husband in his educational career, Margaret held several jobs including the Guthrie County Vedette, Printing Services of Belmond; and retired from Bankers Life and Casualty as an award winning Sales Agent. They lived in several towns in Iowa including Jamaica, Stuart, Linden, Panora, Klemme, What Cheer, and Adel. Margaret loved spending time with her family, cooking, traveling, antiques and genealogy. She was one of the founders of the Lennon Mill Players theater group in Panora, and was a past judge for high school speech contests. She enjoyed all theater and music, and played the piano at family gatherings.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard of Adel; her son, Bill (Pam) Corrick of Fairfield; her daughter, Nancy (Mike) Hallbauer of Adel; grandchildren, Samantha, Alex, Austin and Carin Corrick; and Sydney and Dylan Hallbauer; niece, Donna Eddy of West Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Nella Keller; her sister, Lois Morrison and Brother-in-Law, Donald Morrison.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Central Iowa.
