Harold D. Kuehl, 62, of Woodward died of a self-inflicted gunshot would Sunday in rural Adel. The death has been ruled a suicide. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Woodward United Methodist Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Woodward Cemetery.

Mr. Kuehl was born in Jefferson and lived in Woodward most of his life. He owned and operated Central Iowa Drainage Co. and worked for Agri-solutions as a tax preparer. He served in the marines.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; three sons, Scott, Bradley and Robert, all of Woodward; a daughter, Staci Kuehl of Woodward; a sister, Joyce Jones of Buffalo, Mo.; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harold D. Kuehl Memorial Fund. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register 26 Mar 2002.
