Rites for Well Known Perry Farm Woman

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the Church of Christ for Mrs. W.R. Skinner, well known farm woman whose death occurred Tuesday, following an extended illness.

Warren Hile pastor of the Church of Christ, officiated during the rites and interment was in Violet Hill cemetery. Casket bearers were: Ivyl Collinson, Albert Fallein, Warren Daniels, Vernon Collins, Paul Ballentine and Marlowe Sayles.

Music was furnished by a mixed quartet composed of Guy Fiscel. Warren Hile, Mrs. L.E. Crase and Mrs. Chs. Cornelius. They sand: "Ivory Palaces," "Good Night and Good Morning" and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken." The following obituary was read:

Elizabeth Ann Spraker was born Jan. 27, 1893 on a farm between Perry and Dawson, Iowa in Dallas County. At the age of four her parents, the late Mrs. and Mrs. John Spraker, moved to Perry where she was raised and educated in the Perry schools. On Step. 25, 1912, she was united in marriage to William R. Skinner, and to this union nine children were born, all of which are still living. When a girl of fourteen she became a member of the Perry Church of Christ, and was a very active member in younger days, but as the children came along was more or less tied down with home duties, and was unable to attend regular, but always in her heart and home she has tried to raise her children the Christian way. In later years she has attended Fairview Methodist Church as it was closer and wanting her children brought up in church tried to do the best she could for their benefit at all times. Never leaving her loving Savior out of her life at any time, she has struggled along these last eight years with His helping hand guiding her all the time and her passing on besides her husband, W.R. Skinner, she leaves to mourn her loss, Mrs. Claire Mowrer, Mrs. Marion Mowrer, Glenn, William Jr., Erma, Richard and Renefred, Betty, Mae. The brothers also survive, namely Harold Spraker, Perry and Roy Spraker of St. Paul. She was a faithful wife and loving mother and will be greatly missed by all whom knew her.
