Services for Mrs. Carl Hedum, 77, Arthur, were Thursday afternoon in the Evangelical Free church with the Rev. Robert Lundberg officiating. She died Tuesday, Feb 9, 1982 at the Horn Memorial hospital in Ida Grove. Burial was in the Hayes Township cemetery under the direction of the Christensen Funeral home at Ida Grove.

Mrs. Hedum, the former Stella Louise Cocks, was born 30 May 1904 at Colorado Springs, Colorado. She married Carl Hedum on 3 Feb 1937 in Des Moines. They lived in Whiting, and had lived in Arthur for the last 38 years. Mrs. Hedum worked as a registered nurse in the Onawa hospital and for a time was featured on her own homemaker program of KTFC radio in Sioux City.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Carolyn) Ciaglo of West Chicago, Illinois and four grandchildren.
