My ancestors on my grandma's side left Pellworm in the mid 1800s (1860s I believe) and went to Iowa. Family names on her side were Jensen, Jochimsen, and I believe Ohrt and Jurgensen. I am trying to learn more about this side of my family and I would love to find out why a seemingly large portion the community left Pellworm around that time. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to compare info!
