Jacob (Jake) Ludvigsen was born in 1875 in Denmark. He died on 20 Mar 1936 in Clinton Co., IA. He was buried in Springdale.

His parents were Christian Ludvigsen and Margrethe Hansen according to the marriage license.

Jacob married Mary Jensen daughter of Mikkel Jensen and Anna Sophie Sandholdt on 20 Feb 1904 in Cedar Falls, Black Hawk Co., IA. Mary was born in 1878 in Denmark.

In the 1929 Clinton City Directory, Jacob and Mary live at 202 S 3rd and he is a Teamster for Best Service Co.

According to the 1930 census, Jake came to the US in 1892

There is a G and a Samuel Ludvigsen buried at the Norwegian (Kvindherred) Cemetery. I don't know if these are related.

On marriage record place of birth is Germany.

They had a son, Harold who was born on 24 Dec 1905 in Waterloo, Iowa. He died on 29 Nov 1982 in Clinton, IA.

Harold married Pearl Webber daughter of Fredrick Richard Webber and Elizabeth Kropp on 30 Jun 1928 in Clinton, Clinton County, Iowa. Pearl was born on 14 Jul 1908 in Fulton, Whiteside County, Illinois. She died on 8 May 2002 in Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, IL. She was buried on 10 May 2002 in Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton, Clinton County, Iowa.

They had 4 children. I am just starting to help my daughter research this family for her husband. Any information would be exiting for her to hear about.
