Mrs. Redhead of Armstrong Dies at 68
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Nazareth Lutheran Church of Armstrong. The Rev. David Vigen officiating, for Mrs. Ben (Verna Ethel) Redhead, 68, who died Saturday at her home in Armstrong of complications of a heart attack. Interment will be at Dolliver Cemetery. Friends may call at the Slaba Funeral Home in Armstrong until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, at which time the body will be moved to lie in state at the church.
Mrs. Redhead was born Feb. 17, 1892, in Lyon County to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Cox. She received her education in Lyon county schools. On Sept. 1, 1909, she was married to Carl Feddersen, now deceased. The couple farmed near Dolliver for many years. She married Ben Redhead on Sept. 9, 1939, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They made their home in Armstrong.
She is survived by her husband, six sons, Henry Feddersen of Dolliver, Louie Feddersen and Carl Feddersen of Estherville, Ernest Feddersen of Ringsted, Elmer Fedderson of Omaha, Neb., and John Feddersen of Armstrong, and four daughters, Mrs. Henry Tordoff and Mrs. Asgar Hansen of Estherville, Mrs. Monroe Rankin and Mrs. Joe McConnell of Armstrong. She is also survived by 38 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Neumann of Clinton and Mrs. Orrin Bradshaw of Grinnell. Mrs. Redhead was preceded in death by one daughter in 1931 and two sisters; Mrs. Will Edleman and Mrs. Henry Eacker.
