I am a descendant of the Hindman family. Was wondering about your connection. A great uncle of mine moved to Madison Co., Iowa in the mid 1800's. He was originally from Brooke Co., VA (WV) right across the river from Steubenville, OH. I noticed your inquiry included mention of Steubenville. I currently live across the Ohio River from Steubenville. I am also searching for information on the Hindman family in Iowa as I am looking for an Albert C. Hindman who was the son of William Hindman and grandson of William Hindman Sr. who lived in Brooke Co. in 1795 and eventually relocated to Walnut Twp., Madison Co., Iowa around 1855.
